Jacques, our Manager, will show you how his team of emerging farmer trainers can take your kitchen waste and turn it into food for growing crops of healthy and yummy vegetables. You'll explore the part of the farm only inhabited by busy earthworms, and the section that turns manure into compost that plants love!

Jacques, will then do a demonstration of two herbal teas, using garden herbs, as he shares his extensive knowledge of herbs and their uses, and shows you how to brew the teas.

You’ll then get to taste the teas to your utmost delight!

Date: Saturday 11 March
Time: 09:00 to 10:30
Donation: R100 per person, please book and pay to secure your place (as we are limiting it to 20 people) by going here:

These farm tours are fun, short and informative. There will be 4 different tours for you to attend, each with two different fresh herbal tea options and focusing on different parts of the farm. You’ll get to learn about:
* different herbs and their uses,
* environmentally friendly pest control,
* permaculture principles,
* composting,
* water conservation,
* kitchen waste recycling,
* and more!

Come support us on Saturdays to hear more about the farm from our head Farmers Promise and Jacques. We are keeping groups small by limiting them to 20 people, so you can enjoy your experience!

We need some funds to help us sustain the farm until all the plots become fully productive. Then we will be reaching our goal of providing you with the best organic vegetables in town, and our mission of feeding 1000 orphans!

Fresh veggies, as well as herbs and seedlings, other grow-your-own type products, and our Bokashi Buckets for your kitchen waste, will be available to purchase.

Our farm has two aims - to produce food naturally for orphaned children while creating jobs by teaching ecological farming skills to the unemployed. Our urban organic farm is a living example of biodynamic and permaculture principles, and has been developed in a spiral formation for ecohydrology to conserve water. Come and see for yourself!
